Welcome to the 2021 Virtual Festival
To all our Cariboo Festival Families and Friends,
To ensure the health and safety of our Festival family, all sessions for 2021 will be held virtually.
Please note that for this upcoming Festival, our syllabus has been significantly modified due to COVID-19 and our festival will be an online format for this year. Please make sure to read the 2021 E Festival Syllabus before completing your registration, making sure to note all major submission deadlines and performance requirements that are specific to the 2021 Festival.
We have also include an overall FAQ section with regards to the virtual format (see pg 25).
Due to lack of volunteers, there will be no Speech Art Discipline for the 2021 Festival.
Group pieces for all disciplines, will be limited to a maximum of 4 participants. Exceptions being made only for immediate family groups (must be within the same household).
Important Dates for Participants:
- Registration - January 11 - February 8, 2021
- Repertoires Submission- March 5, 2021
- Scheduling for Performances - March 2021
Vocal / Choral April 12 & 13, 2021 at the Evangelical Free Church. Self - recorded submissions due by April 11th.
Piano April 22, 2021 at the Calvary Church. Self - recorded submissions due by April 19th.
Instrumental / Band Self - recorded submissions due by April 16th.
Honours Concert TBD

We recognize the current situation with the pandemic, we are allowing all entrants to submit either from home or from the provided venue for adjudication.
This is going to be a very different year, but we are excited to be bringing our arts Festival back!

The Cariboo Festival Society is registered under the British Columbia Society Act, affiliated with Performing Arts BC, and a member of the Williams Lake Community Arts Council.

You can assist our Festival greatly by donating your returnables (bottles, cans, etc) at the Williams Lake Return-It Depot, located at 232 South Mackenzie Ave. All donations will keep our Festival alive! Simply drop off your returnables, let them know you'd like to donate the refund to the Festival, and they will do the rest.
Another way to support us financially is through donation of gently used trophies, which we can refurbish for a fraction of the cost to purchasing new trophies.
